ABOUT JDM
JDM Talent was founded to address the need for a more holistic approach
to recruitment.
After several years leading in-house recruitment functions it became clear that attracting and hiring good people was just one piece of a larger puzzle. To hire good people you need to become good at attraction, selection, onboarding, retention and engagement otherwise you lose your talent somewhere along the way. Follow me on Linkedin.
Training
JDM Talent addresses these needs by providing training to HR, Talent Acquisition, Recruitment Firms and Hiring Managers on attraction, selection, onboarding and retention. Within attraction there is a heavy emphasis on branding and EVP with specific training on helping organisations utilise LinkedIn to its maximum.
Recruitment
To complement the training, JDM Talent provides recruitment services for a variety of industries, sectors and levels of seniority. Clients include Private Equity, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and Aerospace companies, recruiting positions across the globe with focus on the UK, US and Europe.
MY EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
About Me
John David Morley is a seasoned recruitment expert having spent time in executive search and then in-house, leading Global Talent Acquisition teams.
John graduated in 2000 with a BSc Environmental Science degree and worked as an Analytical Chemist for the chemical company, Johnson Matthey. After completing their future leaders course John left the business to gain sales experience with a life science consumables business called Sarstedt. In 2005 he combined his science and sales experience and joined Remtec Search & Selection, a boutique headhunting firm for the medical device sector. After 6 years he was made a Director, concentrating on senior appointments for the MedTech sector across Europe. In 2012, ConvaTec, a major medical device company, appointed John as their first in-house recruiter and he went on to lead the Global Talent Acquisition function for 5 years. Following ConvaTec, John entered the pharmaceutical sector, again leading in-house recruitment teams for Vertex Pharmaceuticals and then Astra Zeneca. At the end of 2017, JDM Talent was born and continues to operate in the core life science sectors as well as diversifying into Aerospace & Defence, Private Equity and a host of other industries.
